Presented by Professor Yong Zhao

The global pandemic is presenting challenges to all global communities and across education. Professor Zhao believes these challenges and difficulties can also be sources of motivation for creativity and entrepreneurial thinking for our students. Now is the time to leverage this opportunity for a pedagogy shift that is student centred, entrepreneurial and exemplifies human interdependence and interconnectedness.

Yong is a friend and colleague of member schools and has published a number of books featuring their work, including the AISSA Rudolph Project, including An Education Crisis Is a Terrible Thing to Waste: How Radical Changes Can Spark Student Excitement and Success (2019).

This session is part of our webinar series providing the opportunity for school leaders to connect with international experts to respond to the challenges presented by COVID-19. The webinars will support those working towards the creation of vibrant continuous learning environments for their students and school communities.
