Description:

National Teacher Certification (NTC) is a voluntary, portable, and transparent process that celebrates outstanding educators, enhances professionalism and provides opportunities for career advancement. Certification recognises and promotes the development of collaborative learning professionals who strive to continually reflect upon and improve their practice.

The certification process is overseen by the South Australian Teacher Certification Committee (SATCC).

This program supports individuals to expand their knowledge, skills, and application of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. It assists participants to build a portfolio of evidence aligned to either the Highly Accomplished or Lead Teacher career stage with high-quality annotations aligned to the standards. Participants will collaborate and engage in feedback with peers through applied learning tasks and by developing reflective practice.

The time it takes to become certified depends on a variety of factors and can vary from 6 months to 12 months.

The program involves:

• compulsory attendance at three workshops (one online on demand and two face-to-face)
• portfolio submission for assessment in three stages and
• a site visit by a nationally accredited assessor.

By registering you are committing to participate in the program including attendance at the following face-to-face sessions:

Workshop Day 1: 13/08/2024, 9.00am-3.00pm
Workshop Day 2: 20/09/2024, 9.00am-3.00pm

Audience: Teachers applying for HALT Certification

Delivery mode: face-to-face

Presenters: Aleida Mabarrack, AISSA Senior Educational Consultant supported by nationally accredited assessors.

Price: Participation in the AISSA’s Teacher Certification Program is $2,850.00 (GST inclusive).  This sum is invoiced in instalments aligned with program progress.  Withdrawal from the certification program after commencement may result in partial program fees applying.  For more information about the program fees please contact Aleida Mabarrack.
