Program Overview: Schools serve as fundamental pillars of most communities. Therefore, it is crucial that schools foster authentic school community relationships with parents and guardians.
This seminar is designed to provide senior leaders with a clear understanding of their roles, responsibilities and legal obligations when managing parent expectations and behaviours effectively. While conflict resolution approaches are necessary to manage and resolve disputes with parents, clear, empathetic, and effective interactions are also fundamental considerations when seeking to create harmonious environments so that schools and families can collaborate productively towards shared educational goals.
Participants will gain confidence to approach discussions with parents, through legally sound principles of conflict management, intervention and restoration.
