Description:
The Impact Cycle is a professional learning program that teaches participants to be an instructional coach and explains how to establish instructional coaching cycles that lead to improved teaching and student learning. It is designed around Jim Knight’s seminal text ‘The Impact Cycle: What Instructional Coaches Should Do to Foster Powerful Improvements in Teaching’ to explore the three stages of the coaching cycle: Identify, Learn and Improve.
Facilitated by Ben Calleja from Growth Coaching International, over two days participants will explore and practice:
- Partnership Principles as a foundation for instructional coaching
- the Identify, Learn, Improve elements of the Impact Cycle
- working with teachers to identify instructional goals and subsequent strategies
