Leading Innovation Webinar Series, session 1 of 7: A Continua of Sustainable Remote Learning
29th April, 2020 @ 4:00 pm
Date/Time:
29/04/2020 - 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Description:
Presented by Stephen Harris
Stephen Harris, Director of Learnlife, Barcelona, showed how a school could respond innovatively to the disruptive challenge of COVID-19 amidst the devastating effect of the pandemic on Spain. Stephen will discuss how schools could re-think the context of face-to-face schooling to optimise learning.
In light of South Australia’s COVID-19 Term 2 context, with advice now shifting from online solutions to returning to the classroom, Stephen asks:
- Should we be rethinking how we use time in the context of face-to-face schooling?
- Should we shift from the previous schedules?
- How do we encourage schools to hold deep level conversations, thinking through how we optimise the available time in the school day?
- How can dual models be supported?
Stephen is Co-founder and Chief Learning Officer at Learnlife, Barcelona and worldwide, Founder of Sydney Centre of Innovation in Learning and former Principal of Northern Beaches Christian School.
This session is part of our webinar series providing the opportunity for school leaders to connect with international experts to respond to the challenges presented by COVID-19. The webinars will support those working towards the creation of vibrant continuous learning environments for their students and school communities.
