Program Overview: Join with primary school teachers and leaders of Mathematics in this two-part workshop series to engage in hands-on learning about effective practices in Mathematics. Deepen your understanding of Mathematics content as described in the Australian Curriculum v.9 and network with colleagues to share practices and resources.  

In these workshops you will:  

  • actively explore, trial and interrogate strategies for engaging students in Mathematics learning, teaching and assessment
  • hear from school-based presenters about Mathematics initiatives and practices
  • consider approaches to enhance student involvement and agency
  • ignite new ideas for leading Mathematics teaching and learning in your school context
  • have opportunities to ask “burning” questions
  • explore specific aspects of the curriculum such as, content relating to Mathematical Modelling, Computational Thinking, Probability Experimentation and Statistical Investigations.
