Description:
Practical Steps for School Leaders
The AISSA presents Kristen Douglas, National Manager and Head of headspace Schools, the National Youth Mental Health Foundation. The challenges and uncertainty of 2020 highlighted the importance for teams and individuals to undertake practical steps and processes to help themselves and their teams recalibrate, re-energise, re-balance, and refocus on the future.
Built on principles of recovery and reflection, this webinar is aimed at providing school leaders with practical strategies for leading through complex events and experiences to: –
- acknowledge and process experiences and create a healthy supportive narrative going forward
- offset stress and focus on 2021 with a new vista.
When school communities have been impacted by an event, be it short term or prolonged, it’s important to go through an articulated and guided stage of processing in a strengths-based, positive, and considered way. This means processing the experience, processing the impact, processing the disruption, and ensuring we celebrate the gains and achievements.
